What is 3M™ Performance Masking Tape 401E?

3M™ Performance Masking Tape 401E is a durable crepe paper tape (approx. 0.170 mm thick) coated with a rubber adhesive.

Specially designed for industrial and automotive painting, it withstands high temperatures—up to 140 °C—across oven drying, infrared, and heat-lamp applications. This tape features excellent solvent and moisture resistance, exceptional holding power, and minimises lifting or curling throughout the curing process.
