Celebrating the 3M Converter Cup Win With the Whole RGH Team
Awards tend to arrive as a trophy and a photograph. What sits behind them is harder to put on a shelf: the estimating, the tooling, the die cutting, the quality checks, the deliveries that went out on time when the schedule said they should not have.
So when 3M offered to mark our 3M Converter Cup win with something for everyone at RGH, a food truck on site made complete sense. Freshly made pizzas, the whole team off the floor at the same time, and a proper chance to say thank you to the people who earned the award.
Why the whole team, not one department
The Converter Cup recognises performance across 3M's global converter network. In practice that performance is distributed. Growth in the Industrial Adhesives and Tapes range came from technical conversations with customers. Introducing newer 3M products such as VHB Max, RP+ and 300MP+ meant our engineers and machine operators learning new materials and proving them in production. Consistent quality came from the people running the processes and the checks day after day.
No single part of the business delivers that on its own. It is why the celebration needed to include everybody rather than a management team and a certificate.

What partnership with 3M actually looks like

The food truck was a small gesture, but it reflects how the relationship works: collaborative, and focused on the people doing the work.
