With over 30 years of experience spanning quantity surveying, global travel, and the point-of-sale industry, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and precision to his role as Production Control Manager at RGH. Acting as the crucial link between the commercial and manufacturing teams, he ensures that every order moves through production efficiently, accurately, and on time.

What I Do at RGH
Chris plays a pivotal role in supporting and co-ordinating RGH’s production and logistics operations. His focus is on delivering high-quality products with maximum efficiency, while constantly looking for ways to improve processes and performance. Whether it’s planning production capacity, generating bills of materials, raising work orders, or chasing materials, Chris manages all the moving parts that keep our operation running smoothly.
He describes it as piecing together the “art of converting” jigsaw — and few understand the intricacies better.

Journey
How did you get into the industry?
After five years as a quantity surveyor and six months travelling Asia and Australia, I spent 24 years in the point-of-sale sector before joining RGH to help develop that side of the business.

Role
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Being the “adhesive bond” between sales and manufacturing. I love the challenge of making everything click together — and constantly asking how we can do it better.

Life & Spirit
What does life outside work look like?
Family time, football, and fresh air! I follow Sunderland AFC (it’s in the blood) and my local team, Cambridge United. I’m also my son’s part-time taxi driver for his football and cricket. I get plenty of walking in with our Cockapoo — and enjoy meals out, a good glass of wine, and a playlist full of guitar bands from the 80s to the 2000s.
